basketball?? i'm starting to train for basketball, and i learned that the best type of running for it was sprinting. the best thing for me to do would be to sprint up and down a real court, but since i do not have daily access to one i am going to try my backyard out. my yard is about half the size of a court, so i figured that running it up and down once would equal one court length. will that help or will the fact that its not as long as the court affect it? the reason why i am asking this is b/c i know that by sprinting short distances, it helps your body differently than when you are jogging for endurance. so do you think that my yard will help me train even if it is half the distance of the court (as long as i run it twice to get the full length)?
