Are College Basketball Fans Fake? If you're and intelligent person who has ever been to a college basketball game I would like to know if you realize that they are fake. PROOF: In the NBA where there are real fans, where the team plays for a city and not a school, the fans aren't yelling crazy nonstop when someone is simply bringing the ball up court or setting up the offense unless it's a big play or somethign like that. This is only anecdotal, so you can prove me wrong maybe but it seems the vast majority of my white friends prefer college basketball to pro whereas all my black friends/family prefer the NBA by a wide margin. Seems like this wasn't the case in the 90s when I was in high school and everybody liked the Fab 5/Carolina/Kentucky/Duke and enjoyed/hated the Bulls run. I prefer the NBA because I'm a stat geek (easiest sport to scrutinize the hell out of some numbers) along with the chance to watch teams develop from year-to-year. College ball nowadays has exciting players but teams of great players never develop because the guys leave early (can't blame them). To me college ball peaked in the first half of the '90s. The NBA had an actual bad season last year but this season is the most enjoyable since about '02 when it looked like the Kings had a title shot and Shaq was still Shaq.

College Basketball amazing finish????? I remember seeing a college basketball game (in the NCAA tourney about 3 yrs ago I believe) with a crazy finish.....but the problem is i can't remember who the teams were. So team A inbounded the ball with a 2 point lead with under 5 sec. to go in the game. they inbounded the ball and the player ran with it while celebrating and got called for traveling. (how embarassing) Team B then inbounded the ball and banked in a desperation shot from around half court to take the win. Can anyone provide me with the teams or any other info about this game??? Who knows how they rank college basketball teams? What i dont understand is that the ACC is one of the top leagues in college basketball. Three teams in there are ranked in the top ten most tough schedules like Boston College is 9th, but how can Duke be ranked when you have a team like Boston College who has a better record than Duke it makes no sense how Duke can be ranked and Boston college isn't even in the top 25 and also Maryland is ranked 17 who has the same record as Boston college.

Does college basketball suck now? I used to love it, but now it's all raw talent and there is no fundamental play.
