Just because UCLA lost to Flordia last year does not mean that Flordia is a better team UCLA just had a bad night.

A break from the usual NCAA Tournament question? I needed a break from the typical "who will win what" questions. So here ya go: If your favorite NCAA Basketball team had a theme song what would it be? And tell me why of course. (ex: Florida - "Another One Bites the Dust" by Queen. Because of their ridiculous ability to score 71 points in the 2nd half.)

who was the best basketball player you ever saw play? For me, and I know what jordan fans are gonna say! But it had to be magic johnson! He could play any position on the floor and score for average or better, came into the league and won a championship fresh off winning the ncaa ring and wasnt even old enough to drink champagne to toast the victory! Without question, he was dominant without scoring and the most dangerous man on the break!

NCAA Football - who wins and by what score - Pittsburgh @ Louisville? FYI - Once the game "starts" with kick-off I will take a tally of who answered and scores provided. I monitor who answered by kick off and write down the original scores by the way – I want to keep this fun and honest for all who answer these. Additionally, if two people on the winning team have the same score I will then use the criteria of who came closest with the score on the losing team. If that leads to a tie then I will have to choose the person who chose the score first. Pitt will beat Louisville final score 32 - 10. Both Louisville and Kentucky should stick to Basketball - the ratings on these schools have been wayyyyy to kind. Best of Luck!

Make a case for whoever you think is the best basketball player of all time? Say why you think this person should be considered the G.O.A.T., and what put them ahead of the field. I think it's Michael Jordan, here's why : Awards NCAA Champion '82 14 time All-Star Olympic Gold Medalist—1984, 1992 Five time MVP—1988, 1991, 1992, 1996, 1998 7 time The Sporting News MVP Rookie of the Year—1984 Defensive Player of the Year—1988 11 times All-NBA—10 times first team, 1 time second team 9 time All-Defensive First Team Sports Illustrated "Sportsman of the Year"—1991 Named one of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA History in 1996 Records Most scoring titles—10 Most NBA Finals MVP awards—6 Highest career scoring average—30.12 Highest career scoring average playoffs—33.45 Most consecutive games scoring in double figures—866 Highest single series scoring average NBA Finals—41.0 (1993) "By acclamation, Michael Jordan is the greatest basketball player of all time."-Doug Collins "There's Michael Jordan and then there is the rest of us." —Magic Johnson "Michael is the best overall basketball player ever." -Steve Kerr Jordan scored a playoff record 63 points against the Boston Celtics in 1986, Celtics star Larry Bird described him as "God disguised as Michael Jordan. Jordan's total of 5,987 points in the playoffs is the highest in NBA history. He retired with 32,292 points placing him third on the NBA's all-time scoring list behind Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Karl Malone. In 1988, he was honored with the NBA's Defensive Player of the Year Award and became the first NBA player to win both the Defensive Player of the Year and MVP awards in a career He set records for blocked shots by a guard, and combined this with his ball-thieving ability to become a standout defensive player. His 2,514 steals are the second of all-time behind John Stockton and had 3 steal titles in his career. ESPN ranked him as the best athlete of the 20th century. I could go on and on about why MJ is the greatest ever, but I'm getting tired of typing all this, so you tell me who is the greatest and why?

Who has a better basketball legacy then this? 6 nba titles 2 Gold medals 1 ncaa championship Won state in HS 6 nba finals mvps 5 nba regular season mvps 10 nba scoring titles 3 nba steals titles 1988's NBA Defensive Player of the Year 9 time all-nba 1st defensive Has the Chicago Bulls franchise record for total assist 10 time all-nba 1st team 14 time all-star Has the nba record for the higest scoring average(30.1) Has the nba record for the highest playoff career scoring average(33.4) Most consecutive games scoring in double figures-842 Has the highest scoring average in a nba finals series(41.0) Has the record for most 3 pointers made in one half of the nba finals(6) 1984-85 NBA Rookie of the Year 1984 Naismith College Player of the Year 1991 Sports Illustrated Sportsman of the Year (only 5 nba players has that honor: Russell, Kareem, MJ, T. Duncan, & D-Wade) Named ESPN's BEST ATHLETE EVER One of NBA's top 50 greatest As you can see this guy could score, past, & play defense! The Greatest Of All Time! lol....most minutes played? What a legacy...lol. Oh yeah, I forgot. This guy also has the highest scoring game in playoff history(63 points ) No matter what legacy you guys can think of, it just can't match the guys above! Scoring in the most dominate & important stat there is. You could get alot less rebounds then the other team but still win by out scoring the other team(I've seen it done), and at the same time you could get alot of rebounds but still lose because the other team out scored you. There is no way that you could compare rebounds to points. That's like comparing punches(points) to ducking(rebounds) in boxing. You maybe could duck punches good, but if you're not good with offense(throwing punches) you're liable to lose. HA HA HA! You can't talk fighting or boxing with me! I know alot more about fighting then I do basketball...... Anyways, to let you know, boxers are the best fighters in the world. If you have an elite boxer fight anyone he'll win. Pride, UFC, MMA, or any other fighting organization fighters can't beat an elite boxer. Because if they could beat boxers then they'll join boxing and make the millions boxers make......and in those other fighting organizations you'll always see a EX-BOXER that couldn't make it in the MAJOR LEAGUE(professional boxing), so instead he'll go make a career in the MINOR LEAGUE(UFC, Pride, MMA & etc.)....and those ex-boxing HOPEFULS always turns out to be a great champion in them organizations. Now if a juryman class C boxer could beat MMA, UFC, & Pride guys, well what makes you think an elite class A boxer couldn't?....And if they could beat a boxers why won't they join boxing and make millions like boxers do? and that example of MMA fighters & boxers was a poor example. That's two different sports. MJ & Russell both played NBA BASKETBALL! One didn't play wheelchair ball & the other played pro ball. They both played in the same league.....now that being said, yes, comparing rebounds to points in PRO BASKETBALL is like comparing punches(points) to ducking(rebounds) in PRO BOXING! Oh yeah, it's not that easy! I'm the best debator pound for pound, BUDDY! One more thing. Your point about scoring 63 and losing is a poor example too. Because that's just one game. How about setting a nba finals scoring record, averaging 41.0 ppg & winning a nba championship doing it(& that was before the great REBOUNDER Dennis Rodman arrived, he set that record in their 1st 3-peat, Bulls v.s. Suns.)...and in game six, MJ carried the Bulls by SCORING every single point in the 4th quarter, well that was until Paxson hit a clutch 3 pointer to go for the win. Oh yes, I do believe MJ's high scoring won them that championship. Wouldn't you agree?...lol. MJ's the greatest! lol.......You're a joke. Wheelchair basketball & pro basketball is still playing ball but they're 2 different things. One league you could do more(jump, run, & fully use your legs) and the other league has to do less(use a wheelchair). You can't use 2 people in the same sport with a wheelchair ball & pro ball example. Sorry again, poor example! Like I told you already, I'm the king of debating& there is nothing to easy when it comes to me. To come at me you better come correct or don't come at all. Because I'll put your foot in your mouth everytime.......Anyways, I'm not making anything up about boxers. Juryman boxers do become great champions in those other fighting organizations.....and you sound like a fool saying MMA is more popular then boxing. That was a dumb statement. I'm done debating with you about this because you're no comp for me.

Geographic Region: Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky / East Chicago, Indiana Brock, James "Jim" James Brock was the second head basketball coach at William Grant High School (WGHS) in Covington, Kentucky, coaching there from 1955 to 1965. Like other African American school teams in Kentucky, WGHS was a member of the Kentucky High School Athletic League (KHSAL). The counter league, Kentucky High School Athletic Association (KHSAA), was for whites only until school integration began in the mid-1950s. The 1956-1957 WGHS team was the first African American basketball team to win a district tournament in the KHSAA tournament. As more African American students were allowed to attend the formerly all white schools, there was an impact on the pool of high school athletes that had been restricted to the all black schools. In 1965, the year that William Grant High School was closed, the basketball team won only five games. The season was a far cry from the winning seasons that had garnered the school a win-loss record of 185-69 during Brock's years as head coach. With the closing of William Grant, Brock moved on to Cincinnati, where he continued to successfully coach high school sports. James Brock was inducted into the Northern Kentucky Black Hall of Fame and the KHSAA Hall of Fame in 2000. For more see Shadows of the past, by L. In 1988 he filed a $6.9 million suit against the Emery Air Freight Corp. and the employees who claimed to have discovered $1,000 cash in a package Casey sent to the father of California basketball player Chris Mills. [The suit was eventually settled out of court.] Casey resigned from the UK in 1989. He later served as an assistant coach overseas and in the NBA. From June 2005 - January 2007, Casey was head coach of the NBA's Minnesota Timberwolves. He was the third African American from Kentucky to be named a head coach in the NBA [the first was Bernie Bickerstaff, the second, Wes Unseld].
