How many possible outcomes are there in the NCAA basketball tournament? Mathematically speaking, how many different possible outcomes are there in the NCAA men's basketball tournament? There are 64 (65 counting one-play in game) teams arranged in four different brackets. Each bracket starts with 16 teams. I am too lazy to figure out the math. Can someone explain the number of possible outcomes mathematically?
Should the NCAA basketball tournament be expanded and why? I don't think it should. First 65 teams is already a lot. It would be expanded to 128 teams, and there aren't that many teams that can win. In fact no team ranked lower than #8 has won the tournament, a #8 seed has only won once and a #7 seed has never won. If no #16 seed has ever even won a game, whats the point of adding more teams?
Who is going to win this year's NCAA basketball tournament? My eyes are definitely on the Florida Gators and Ohio State Buckeyes. Ohio State has a monster in Greg Oden, Florida has almost the entire cast from last year trying to do a repeat, and both teams have taken care of business so far. Or do you think that some other team is going to win it all?
How do the NCAA basketball tournaments work? I don't really follow NCAA men's D-1 basketball that closely. But now, I'm in a fantasy game (Protrade) that deals with conference tournaments, an NIT tournament (never heard of that one) and the NCAA tournament. How does all of this work? Are all of these tournaments separate? Can someone please explain how all of this works, I'm really confused! It's protrade (http://www.protrade.com). They have fantasy games for pretty much every sport.

For the 2008 NCAA basketball tournament, looking for a city schedule? I know the actual games won't come out until selection Sunday, but I'm trying to figure out who will move into which regional matches? For example, say BYU (my team) goes to Washington DC and is able to win the first 2 games (with a miracle), where would they then go for the regional game? I've been to dozens of sites trying to piece together which first round cities move on to which regional cities, but with no luck (it's like they almost contradict each other) - is there something definitive - an actual bracket set up without the teams put in yet, but that has the cities where they are playing would be great!!!!! Hope that makes sense!?

Why are there never any NCAA Men's basketball tournament games in Oregon? NCAA tournament games are played in cities all over the country, in cities of all sizes. How come there are never any Men's basketball tournament games in Portland, Eugene, Salem, or any other cities in Oregon? Portland is a top 30 metropolis, with plenty of hotel space. Portland is about the same size as Sacramento. Even if it weren't, though, western cities like Tucsan, Spokane, and Boise have also hosted games. Plenty of college towns all over the country smaller than Portland have handled the tournament, and the Rose Garden is much bigger and better than most arenas. Both Portland and Eugene could host, there must be another reason.
