Is Bill Russell.....The greatest Player....Winner...and person..that the game of Basketball has ever seen?

As a player.. Bill Russell was 6'9...he played against some of the greatest players and teams ( Lakers with West and Baylor )the NBA has ever seen...including a man who was the most dominant center ever! ( WILT )....In Russell's prime he was a 20ppg...20rpg...10bpg...6apg!.... NCAA champion.. gold medalist...and he won 11 NBA championships as the leader of his team....he won with and without great players.. They did'nt count block shot's or steals...now they do(because of him) People who watched him play ......say thet in his prime from..... 60-68 he would have averaged 20ppg..24rpg..10blk..5stl..5as... that's sick!.....wan't a legacy?..read ...this.......................... Once, he refused to play a game when he and his black teammates were refused service at a local restaurant in 1962...he helped change the world..not just the game.. he helped fight racism...he pioneered the the way for the NBA..and the World! No asg..your wrong Bill Russell Dominated the game more then anyone ever!...He scored 20ppg in his prime.. could he have scored more?..sure he could..but he did whatever it took to ensure victory!...and he was the Victor!..more then antone ever!..he dominated in more areas then anyone!.. If you were to build a fighter from the ground up!....you would want all around skill a fighter who Knows how to fight on the ground and on his feet!..a fighter who can dominate anywhere!..Bill Russell was that man...He dominated Everywhere!..that's why he won!..more then anyone! 2. Sorry, no. Michael Jordan has that distinction pretty well wrapped up. Bill Russell was good, no doubt about it. But there's only one number one, and that's MJ.

4. bill russell was an awesome player. but i'd have to say michael jordan is a better player. bill russell was an amazing rebounder and defender and great all around teammate but he wasnt a great offensive player. you couldnt rely on him to take over the game offensively. jordan, while not as good a defender as russell was still a very good defender who could also take over the game offensively. if i had to pick one of the two, it would be jordan no question.
