Which is better, the NBA or College Basketball?

In any sport, the professionals are always more fun to watch than the college athletes. In the NCAA, you get ugly basketball and have to watch teams like UCLA go deep in March Madness. The NBA has stars like Kobe, Lebron, Wade, Nash, plus many more who are fun to watch. The NBA always has the best team as a champion, and upsets are not flukes. The Warriors were a great upset team and deserved it. In the NCAA, you get fluke teams every year that just get hot in the tourney like George Mason a few years ago. Plus the college players never stay long, so you never really get to see a team grow and develop. In the NBA, rivalries are established with the same players battling each year. The choice is simple, the NBA has better athletes, that are far more skilled, and more fun to watch. The level of play is so much highier it is a joke to say NCAA is better. Before anyone offers the competitive basketball arguement, ill say high school b ball can be competitive as well.

  2. All I have to say is that College's shot clock is what like, 40 seconds. That makes the game too slow and low scoring plus the skill level is not the same. I don't like the WNBA either, college is better I think. D-League is better than college though.

  4. College basketball because there is so much more excitement in it. There are about 230 D 1 schools that compete for the national title. Then you have the Nba which, don't get me wrong it is fun to watch, its season is too long. The Nba also is to perfect to watch and the players don't play there hardest unless they are in the playoffs. College, you never know what is going to happen next because they are young and to make errors but yet you can watch some great players.

  8. Why do you ask? you answered your own question. I do agree with your argument in the NBA, but NCAA is fun to watch too. Those kids play with more heart than all these over-paid overhyped superstars in the NBA. Admit it, the NBA is looking for the next MJ, everyone knows that that is why they prematurley glorify players like LeBron. Ever noticed that March Madness becomes the talk of the nation and the NBA just gets overshadowed by it every year? The fluke thing...sure they only play one game for their matchup but then does that mean the NFL is flawed in that sense too when it comes to their playoff seeding? Hey if you want it more than the other team you deserved it that much more. I could tell every team that George Mason beat the same thing "Don't tell me why you lost, I already know why, the other team wanted it more." Every basketball fan will have their opinion when it comes to the college vs. pros argument. Just don't downplay what college ball is, those kids work so damn hard also, they don't have lucrative contracts or mansions, so there is nothing for them to play for. I like the fact that they leave it out on the court every night, and they play like it is the last game of their lives. I love the NBA, I'm a huge NBA fan, but when it comes to entertainment I'll watch college ball whenever I can. HS ball can be competitive, yes, last I checked basketball was a competitive game.
  9. You shouldn't ask a question then answer it, seems foolish to me. I'll vote NCAA. For the most part they are kids who love the game, aren't filthy rich, and have to do "something" academic when not playing Basketball. When two decent teams are playing Duke Vs. UNC for instance the games are extremely entertaining! The NCAA tournament is the best multi-game event in sports. "Fluke" teams make for great entertainment! The NBA seems to condone weed and strip clubs as appropriate activities to do after work. Miserable pace of the game! 79-76! WTF is with that! The attitude of I am "whoever" and I deserve a call in my favor because I say so is terrible for the game! The playoffs take FOREVER!
  10. The NBA is much better. College needs a lot of help to improve the viewing quality of the games. Some of the teams should be cut, a playoff style bracket should replace the one loss and out style they're using. Any team can win one game with a bit of luck and having the worse team advance just to get slaughtered in the next round just sucks.

  13. I SAY NBA IS BETTER JUST FOR THE FACT THAT IT HAS ALL THE STARS AND ALL THE EXCITMENT OF RIVALRIES. COLLEGE HOOPS WOULD BE BETTER IF THEY PLAYED FOUR TEN MIN QUARTERS INSTEAD OF PLAYING TWO TWENTY MIN HALVES...BUT MOST DEF THE NBA IS WAY BETTER THAN COLLEGE HOOPS
  14. Good question but easy to answer. I would say the NBA, ain't no doubt, come one, college players are 90% underrated, while the other 10% are monsters at the game. But the NBA its almost 70% overrated. Which means it is fun to watch. There are players that are good and there are players that are superstars. That is why when a player finishes college ball they go...where?, yes into the NBA. NBA by far most is better than NCAA. It has more excitment and more games.
