Is this a good way to replace the BCS with this?

Have every conference champion even the small schools have a lock in the playoffs. Then a committee like in NCAA Basketball choose at least one or two teams from each conference to play in bowl games while the conference champions also play each other. So one bracket would have the Conference champs and another conference would have the non-conference champs. And then the conference champ plays the winner of the loser bracket for the National Championship. No the teams that didn't make the playoffs will still play in bowl games.

  1. I think that would work.
  2. No u dont need that many teams in the playoffs keep it to 8 or 16. i perosnally like 8 teams.
  3. so in theory, 2 teams from the same conference could play in the championship?
  4. Works for me, much better then the BCS idea. Something like the NCAA basketball formula would be fair.
  5. i think the champs should have double elimination and the losers should have single elimination
  6. So, for bowl season between Christmas and New Year's, we just tell these people sorry, no more bowl games! Guess who the big losers are in this deal?
  7. Wish it would happen but the BCS conferences have it the way it is to keep the money away from the lil guys. They will just have there one plus game maybe because the Pac ten and big ten said they are out even with a plus one.
