How good are the city of Boston's chances at sweeping the Chamionships in every sport?

Look at Bostons teams in the major sports: NFL and NCAA Football, MLB Baseball, and NBA Basketball. NFL you have the Patriots, a team that many predict to win the Super Bowl and possibly go undefeated, the Red Sox, who just came back from a 3-1 deficit against my Indians and made the World Series, and the Celtics, who just picked up Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett to benefit Paul Pierce. The Red Sox are 4 wins away from being World Series Champions, the Patriots are Super Bowl favorites, and the Celtics could make a run to the NBA finals, also Boston College football is #2 in the nation. What are the chances of the Celtics, Red Sox, and Patriots all being Champions in their respective sports, also what is Boston College's chances in the National Title race (Id say BC has slim to none, but still, they are #2 and in this season, how can you assume anything)? I just want to see some good Championships this season. I want to see a Boston/ Phoenix Finals. That would be something else. "The Big Three from the desert and the Big Three from New England meet to decide who reigns supreme in the NBA." Imagine Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, KG, Steve Nash, Shawn Marion, Amare Stoudemire, and Steve Nash all in the same NBA Finals. That would go 7 games and would have every household in America tuned in. I know BC would get killed by any other top 10 team, but Im not going to talk until my Buckeyes come out of Happy Valley unscathed and 9-0, and even then, we still have Illinois, Wisconsin, and the team from that mitten shaped state standing in the way of New Orleans.

  1. wow...actually a good question...I hadn't really been noticing, but.......coincidence...or conspiracy? I sure don't mwant the BoSox or BC to win (although they have already played a tougher schedule than the buckeyes, according to the BCS computers)....and until Boston learns how to pronounce CELTIC correctly (with a hard C...pretty pathetic for a city with all that Irish heritage)...No. But i would rather watch the Patriots than the Colts.....(just too boring...at least Brady to Moss is exciting to watch)...since there is no way my Bengals are going anywhere near the SB this season.
  2. The Patriots and Sox in my opinion are the only 2 that I think have legitimate chances. Celtics will improve but not championship level. BC lucks out by playing in the weak ACC.
  3. Zero chance in the NBA and NHL. It's nice that they'll compete in the East, but the third our fourth seed in the West is still better than the Celtics. The Bruins are nothing special. Still, it's a great year to be in Boston. Whether the Pats and Sox close the deal, there is something exciting all year.
  4. In the three pro sports there is a chance for sure, although it has never been done by a city with 3 major league teams. But as you well know our beloved Buckeyes would give a proper beat down to B.C. No doubt baby, O-H.........I-O!!!!!!!!!! Go Bucks!!!
  5. None whatsoever - the Celtics will not contend for the NBA championship.
  6. I think Boston'll get a Super Bowl. But no one in the East is beating (much less sweeping) San Antonio, Phoenix, or Dallas in the NBA, so no chance there (especially since my pick for the East title is Miami). BC actually has a decent chance if they beat VaTech. The Sawks aren't gonna sweep Colorado ( 7games, Rockies win). That covers it.
  7. Boston College has a very slim chance Celtics have a decent chance, but there are other threats in the east, Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit the Boston Bruins are not supposed to be that good. the Patriots are a LOCK the Red Sox will probably win, but that's really a 50/50 guess. by the way, I like your avatar name.
  8. The Bruins will scew it all up. Eagles Celtics Patriots Red Sox Revolution Ya its a good to be a Boston fan ATM.
  9. I don't give them much of a chance to win all of them. Don't they have a hockey team too? No idea how good that one is. I actually think BC has a better chance to win than the Celtics, but who knows, since BC really hasn't played anyone, and the Celtics have a completely new look. The Red Sox stopped the Ohio Streak of second place finishes, and I think they have the best shot of the group. The Patriots are real good, but so are the Colts, and there are several other really good teams in the NFL. I would say the odds of them winning them all are well over 1-1000.
  10. NEW ENGLAND is the region that Boston is in, but not Boston itself. So don't hog all that glory for your own city. It'd be nice to have Boston College have a championship in the NCAA. My kicking coach used to coach their freshman placekicker, Billy Bennett.
  11. the Sox and the Patriots have the best chance, I'd not hold my breath with the Celtics or the Bruins.... not so sure about BC....
  12. Horrible, infitinitesmally small; essentially zero.
