Who do you think the BEST player in the NBA TODAY is?

I'm going with Allen Iverson, here's why: Iverson is the third leading scorer in NBA history. He has averaged 27.9 points per game in his career, trailing all-time leader Michael Jordan and Wilt Chamberlain in this category by only 2.2 points per game. Iverson is one of only 30players in NBA history to score over 20,000 points in his career, and he was the 6th fastest in the history of the game to achieve this feat. Awards: Big East Rookie Of The Year - NCAA Big East Defensive Player Of The Year - NCAA (1996) NBA Rookie of the Year (1997) All-Star Rookie Game Most Valuable Player (1997) All Rookie First Team (1997) NBA Most Valuable Player (2001) NBA All-Star Game Most Valuable Player (2001) NBA All-Star Game Most Valuable Player (2005) 4-time NBA Scoring Champion 3-time All NBA First Team Selection 3-time All NBA Second Team Selection 3-time NBA Steals Champion 8-time NBA All-Star Team USA Basketball Captain (2004) Widely considered the best under 6ft. player of all time. In just two years he became the Hoya's all time leading scorer. John Thompson on AI, "What people don't understand about Allen, is as much as an offensive threat he is, he's even better defensively, he's one of the best players I've ever coached defensively." Single-handedly lead the Sixers to the Finals without a star teammate. (Kobe has yet to lead his team out of the first round without one.) So I think it's AI. 1. lebron james
  2. lebron james or kevin garnett
  3. kevin garrnett or dwight howard
  4. Kevin Garnett.
  5. Probably Kobe Bryant or LeBron James because they both shoot very well and both can shut each other down on D like on Wednesday night. But somebody who i think is the best today would probably be... Dwight Howard he is just incredible this year he is leading the league in rebounds this year and is 6th in scoring, He avereges a double-double at 23.5 pts. a game 15.1 reb. a game 1.5 ast. a game and thats very good and can dunk awesome.
  6. Dwight howard
  7. Today? I'll go with Steve Nash. Best passer in the league today, makes his teammates better, can score when needed and a great leader. Steve Nash the best!
  8. LeBron James... This is only his 4th year in the league and he has already done so much... Not to mention bringing his team single handedly to the NBA finals by him self... was the Rookie of the year.... An All star....Also he is an all around player. he can score, he passes, he grabs boards, he plays defense... is there anything that he can't do? and not to mention he is still getting better... he hasn't even hit his prime yet... (that is still another 4 years away)... Oh and one more thing; with him its team first something that is really missing amongst the NBA's superstars. Oh yeah did i mention that he is still only 22 years old...
  9. Dwyane Wade healthy,Kobe,LeBron, and Garnett in no particular order
  10. kobe bryant or dwight howard
  11. lebron, wade, kobe, nash, or dwight howard.. no order
  12. Kobe Bryant or LeBron James because they are both great individual players, but they also make their team look good.
  13. Tim Duncan. It's all about winning. Iverson hasn't won anything.
  14. im going with KOBE BRYANT, no questions asked.
  15. LOL you're a joke Allen Iverson?? Really? He's not even the best player on the Nuggets! You have no basketball cred. whatsoever. oh and everyone knows Mr. Kobe Bean Bryant is the best!
  16. Kobe Bryant .. in my opinion.
  17. i dont care about yesterday's game! kobe's the best!....period......even if the lakers won the game, i would still go with kobe
  18. Duncan, he slowed down a bit, but I think any team would trade their superstar for him
  19. all i have to say is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZvbR7Uoxy...
  20. Kobe b/c he plays hard and loves practice, which gives him the upper hand over Iverson who quotes:"practice"
  21. AI is definetly one of them but not today, he is not in his prime anymore..... Lebron James is the best PLAYER today..... Now everybody disputes kobe bryant but kobe does do all the things lebron does..... Kobe is definetly the best scorer in the league and cant be stopped but lebron not only scores but passes the ball and rebounds and has improved immensley on defense. He makes his team around him so much better and if you noticed when lebron was out for 6 games the SAME team he took to the NBA finals just last season looked like the worst team in the league. Kobe has a much better supporting cast and they really have just been the same the last 3 years and arent improving while the cavs got farther every year james is there........Lebron creates soo many open shots for his shitty teammates who miss them could you imagine if he had a true shooter who made the open shots??? he could get endless rings.. Kobe is the best scorer but in the game today Lebron james does more than anyone and the scariest thing is he is only 22 years old and not close to his prime......alll the records you mentioned iverson has lebron is on pace to not just break but shatter, he is the youngest to everything and continues to be, he will make 1st or 2nd All NBA team probably for the next 7-9 years and he will win scoring titles and MVP's. watch out
  22. Kobe bryant
  23. it's no other than Kobe Bryant! Hands Down people! lol
  24. there's so much talent in the NBA........i think its ignorant to claim "he's the best"..... because its more like....he's the best at this, than he's the best at this, he's the best in this situation, he's the best in this other situation.......... I say the best isn't determined untill the end of the season, FINALS MVP....so i guess the current crown belongs to Tony Parker........ amen?
  25. Nash....he is the greatest passer of all time ?
  26. That's what I've been telling everybody.. Allen Iverson probably is the best nba player today.. To Willie M you arevery stupid Iverson IS the best player in the Nuggets no doubt considering he is scoring higher average than Melo and the flow of the offense comes from him
  27. Steve Nash!!!!!.....and then....Tim Duncan....and then.....LeBron James Steve Nash rules!!!!!!!!!!
  28. Ill take Kobe, dont like it but yes. No other superstar player can carry a team fulled with average-below average role players to the playoffs just about every year.
