fantasy basketball?
im in a fantasy bball league on yahoo and im tryin to sign some players but its tellin me i cant till this person clears waivers. what does this mean??

- it means someone dropped those players from their team. Generally, every player dropped has a time period when noone can pick them up, the waiver period. A person has a waiver priority depending on where they drafted and previously and prior waiver claims. When a player is dropped, there is a 1-3 day wait (depending on league) for all managers to try to pick up, so everyone has a equal shot at a player. Afterwards, when period is over, person with higher waiver priority wins the player and it adds to that roster
- Brad is correct. Depending on the player that is on the waiver wire, you may be able to wait til he has "cleared" waivers and then pick him up. That way you may not have to use your waiver status. But if he is a high profile guy who others would want, just follow the normal steps of picking him up and hope you get him. Good Luck!
