  1. 2k8 hands down my friend. better controll scheme and crisper graphics.
  2. Doesn't matter which one you would choose because the games are both basketball
  3. i actually like nba 2k8 better, game play is great. nba live actually made some changes , cause last yr's was horrible. i reserved nba 2k8. but i got my girl to get me nba live lol
  4. I know what you mean man I'm waiting till reviews for live come out because it's alot better than last years.
  5. i love nba live way more than nba 2k8 it sucks!
  6. I'll try and make this very simple, NBA LIVE 08 is the winner this year, alot of people is talking about 07 & 2K7 and which one was better last year, but this is a new year and it is the year of LIVE 08 it has better graphics, new in-depth dynasty mode, and Team USA for crying sakes, 2K8 doesn't look that good this year nor does it play that well the only plus I seen in the game was the dunk contest and CP3 being on the cover. If you are looking for fun, graphics, gameplay, features LIVE 08, but if you are looking for running plays and trying to run exact plays from the NBA then 2K8! Hopes this help!
  7. i have played nba live 07 and nba 2k7. hands 2k7 was better. i have yet to play nba nk8, but i just started playing nba live 08 (since i've always loved nba live games), but i was extremely disappointed in it. Although there have been a lot of changes, a lot of what i thought nba 2k7 had over nba live hasn't been addressed. people that have played nba live on 360/ps3, please feel free to chime in on this, but i'm still using my ps2 and there are several things that i do not like about nba live. 1.) i think it was premature of them to release it with trades still being made and rosters not final yet. (teams are going in to training camp with 20 people on the roster....the game will only let you have 12 + 3 inactives. how can you say who is on the roster? 2.) sub problem of #1 since they don't know who is on the roster, most teams do not have a full 12 person roster. 3.) offshoot of problem 2. I'm from the Bay Area and the warriors are my team. there many things i don't like about the warriors roster (and i have yet to play with any other team yet) A.) matt barnes is still a free agent - asking 7.X million for a 1 year contract B.) where is our rookie Marco Belinelli? They got the j. rich for Brandan Wright trade on draft night, but what about the other rookies? In dynasty mode, i can't even find him in the game! Yet if you look at the FIBA rosters, he's on his national team. C.) in dynasty mode (w/out manually modifying the rosters) I cannot sign matt barnes because i'm stuck with Adonal Foyle and Sarunas Jasikevicous under my salary cap D.) they do not have recently signed people including Pat Burke, Troy Hudson, Austin Croshere, Mickael Pietrus, Carlos Powell, and Kosta Perovic on the warriors default roster......those alone could be half of a team! 3.) (cont.) There are many not up to date roster changes that need to be updated. i don't pay for online, so having my rosters updated is a pain and in dynasty mode they don't update your rosters or your player developments anyway so it's a waste. 4.) On to all-star weekend, the three point contest and the dunk contest mildly have changed since nba live 06/07 I haven't tried to do every dunk yet, but the major changes seem to be the judges......WHO CARES ABOUT WHO IS JUDGING? it's all the computer anyway!!!! 5.) the FIBA tournament is cool, but with all these other issues, why not spend the time to address those first. 6.) the gameplay during the actual games themselves are not that great. people move slow, the actions aren't smooth and it just isn't fun on the first day of playing. i'm sure switching back to nba live controls after playing nba 2k7 for a year will be a transition in itself, but the gameplay isn't great. 7.) dynasty mode and player development. i liked 2k7 better because i control the destiny of player development vs. allocating a percent in hopes that the few guys i want to develop will get better. 8.) simulating through training camp and other modes is just too slow. 9.) navigating through the dynasty calendar is too slow. 10.) why aren't there any pictures of the rookies? there are shadows for kevin durant and greg oden. 11.) reliving the draft is cool, but at the same time is kind of meaningless because it is not realistic. how was I the warriors at pick number 18 and i was able to draft kevin durant......and he got a bad rating like a B- or C-???? Could have sworn he was the second pick and there was mild discussion that he could go number 1. hhmmmm makes you think how great nba live still is? these are my qualms after playing the game for a couple hours. On a plus side, i will add some positives to end my comment. I really like how they have the player hot spots.they are pretty accurate too. there is too much work to get the rosters the way i like it before i can play though and use these hot spots. I haven't gotten the hang of it yet, but when you the computer uses their hot spots, their star flashes silver and seems that the accuracy of the shot increases. i'll keep on trying. i also like how their are MANY uniforms for the alternates/home and away / past variations of different years and different throwback jerseys! at least they got one thing right. customizing the shoes though? they should have a way to make it easier to navigate through like brand or person who endorses that shoe. sifting through a hundred shoes at a slow pace is not fun. i like how you have to earn points to unnlock everythign too. i will keep playing and maybe add naother update. i think i will rent 2k8 to see if i want to buy that instead.
