Is there a fix or patch for my computers mobile intel 945 express chipset graphic card?
Is there any way to allow the mobile intel 945 express chipset graphics card to support pixel and vertex shader? I have NBA Live 08 and on maximum settings it runs smoothly but the graphics are bad because i cannot enable the lighting setting in the details menu. My PC is an Intel Centrino duo 1.6 Ghz, 2 Gb ram, 100 Gb Hd. Is there any way to allow the mobile intel 945 express chipset GMA950 graphics card to support pixel and vertex shader? - The only way to let any card do anything, is by having the proper driver installed and also having a card that supports it. I have my doubts that current onboard laptop graphics cards include the newest vertex shaders etc. needed to render brand new games. It would be helpfull to know which chipset you have exactly. Is it a 945 GM/GME/PM/GMS/GU? I am sure the differences are fairly small, but first you have to find out whether the chipset even supports it. Always make sure your drivers are up to date, and make sure you keep your games are patched.
- i945 chipset usually has the GMA 950 graphics which has NO hardware vertex shader. It is the X3100 in the G965 chipset that has hardware vertex shader.
