NCAA Women's basketball team Rutgers was previously...?

ranked 4 in the USA Today polls. They beat UCONN, the # 1 ranked team. 2,3,5 were idle that day. 6 beat santa clara. Rutger's dropped to #7 and UCONN stayed #1. Can somebody explain this please.
