- Well, to start off. Practice frequently, and for your dribbling, keep dribbling whenever you have the chance to. If you're going to the store, just dribble the basketball. As for your jumpshot, you can try the typical form but I find my way more comfortable. You can try to find a jumpshot that suits you and work off that. I'm 5'6 as well, and that's not the most important thing (to dunk). If you want hops though, just do calf raises or keep running which will work your calf muscles and allow you to jump higher. Just keep practicing though, main thing.
- go to a basketball camp over the summer
- my answer is try this site maybe it's help you a lot http://www.myverticalleap.com/
- -start with dribiling -practice your jump -get a ball that conforts you - get in a good position -you may be able to dunk if your 5'8 but i dont think 5'6
- 1. make sure that you try nailing your technique and make sure you are supporting the ball not just flinging it of the tips of your fingers. 2. Practice practice PRACTICE make sure you work on it. no better answer then that 3.don't worry about dunking ..if your focus too much on that then u wont get any better ..focus on the point of the game. u can train for jumping but if your 5'6 then it will take awfully long to jump and slam a ball. 4. Yes u have gotten better. its in the head ..even though it might seem like u haven't that is because nobody just gets noticeably better . u slowly get better and u will notice in the long run. trust me i have 6-8 yrs of game. if u focus on the game then your all good. try comparing yourself then how u used to be and slowly but surely, you will improve... best of luck
- no one gets good at basketball overnight so u need to constantly practice. its probably the hardest sport to excel in.
