College Football Poll? This is Polls & Surveys Right?

I know It's over and done with and I'm just blowing in the wind and if it ain't broke don't fix it. Hear me out on this! If we started a playoff system for college football it would make what I think is a exciting sport a much more exciting sport! People say if we let in 10 teams or 16 teams then every one will want in and that is just too much. Well I say that's bull! Out of the hundreds of teams that play division 1a football there are only so many great teams, x amount of good teams, so many mediocre teams and a whole bunch of suck egg mule teams. It won't be like the NCAA for basketball with everybody and their long lost grandmother making the tournament with a record below 500. It would be a picked field of the best teams for the divisions that are a part of 1a football based on opponents played and wins that are a minimum of 10 wins and no more than 1 loss. If they decide that you have to win a conference title then so be it! Talk to me! Peaceful and Respectful answers are really appreciated. Thanks. Josh S : If you read it you got it. USC will go as far as there talent allows them. So will everybody else who is invited. tok913 : I like the way you think. Thanks everybody for your answers.

  2. I have the same thoughts too!! it's gonna be great if they add a playoff system in NCAA football.
  3. groovy man...peace
  4. sorry that was a lot to read so i didnt get too much. but yes a playoff system would be nice, and usc would be glad to dominate it.
  5. It can't be any more than 8 teams because you can't play football every other day like basketball. This is how it should break down. 1. Big Ten champ 2. SEC champ 3. ACC champ 4. Big East champ 5. Big 12 champ 6. Pac 10 champ 7 and 8. Next two teams with the best win/loss and rpi You would then have a 3 week playoff that could start in the last week of December and end second week in January which is pretty close when they had the championship this year 1/7) This way you get a playoff with the top teams from the bcs conferences, and the bcs bowl games in the first week of january can still have their big name games. Also, there is a chance for a couple teams who didn't win their conference, but could still be good enough to win to get in. Or, a good team from a non bcs can get in if they have a strong enough non conference schedule.
  6. What ever it is it needs to be based on the conferences: Big Ten Big Twelve ACC SEC Pac 10 for sure Big East Conference USA MACC Mountain West That is nine if we dropped one of the lower tier then you have the brackets.
