do you HAVE to be in the ncaa to get a shot at the nba or can you be in aau and other basketball divisions??

you could get a shot but you really have no chance compared to players in the NCAA so if i were you dont get your hopes up of going to the nba if you dont play in the NCAA
You can be in others but not likely to be drafted. Isn't AAU a High School league though? Many teams may not draft, but they all have some form of open try-outs that you could attempt to make the team that way.
They draft players from European and Asian leagues all the time, so no you dont have to be in the NCAA. But you do have to be at least 19.
