How can a 25 year-old college Junior become a NCAA basketball player? Are there any other ways to get in?
Division 1 school: Univeristy of Arizona: Student is very athletic, fast, 6'5'' never played baskeball in High School, wrestled varsity instead, practices frantically for fun, he may not be the best. However, has a very strong work ethic. Anything logical will help. I would really appreiciate links to students who have done this in the past. Just started Junior year at the University of Arizona as a transfer student.

- Go to the camps they have in the summer. They will give you an honest opinion of your potential.
- I'd say he should try to walk-on. An example (success story) of a student playing an NCAA sport at a late age would be Chris Weinke (though he played football, not basketball). He was born in 1972 and in 1998 (at the age of 26) he was a 'sophomore' QB for the FSU football team.
- trying to walk on at Arizona? thats high level D-1 basketball man, do they even have walk ons? didnt play in high school either, i dont know about that one, but he could always give it a shot i guess.
