Who has accomplished most at 23?

Kareem: 1969 Naismith Award 3x NCAA Champion 2x USBWA College Player of the Year 3x NCAA Basketball Tournament MOP ROTY MVP NBA champion Finals MVP 2 all-defensive teams (two years) 2 time all-star 2 time all-nba Bill Russell: NBA champion MVP all-star (2 years) all-nba Would have made all-defensive teams and won Finals MVP had they been invented Kobe: 3 NBA championships 4 time all-star selection 4 time all-nba team selection 3 time all-defensive team selection 1 time all-star game MVP Lebron: ROTY (that he STOLE from Carmelo Anthony, click here if you disagree: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AuvmQkwNF1SujIER8lcdcxjty6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20080322150840AA2bmPw 4 time all-star 4 time all-nba team 2 time all-star game MVP Lebron got 4 with the newest one Kareem also played in a tighter league with less teams allowing talent to build up and each one. If there were only 15 teams instead of 30 in todays game, you can only imagine the teams you would have to face, like 2 or 3 all-stars on each easily. Every team would have a Boston three party. Ah, I forgot about Magic. He was better than Lebron too... An accomplishment is an accomplishment. There is no award for getting a conference championship without your second best player. If I listed things that weren't official awards, I would have a field and I'm sure you would too. Like: Lebron: 2-2 without Ilgauskas in season where he was 22. Kobe: 5-3 without Shaq in season where he was 22. Pretty meaningless. Statistical (as in records with/without) Lebron needed the Big Z as much as Kobe needed Shaq. I think Kobe without Shaq was like 9-8 before he turned 24? Lebron without Big Z in his career is 11-10, and Shaq is the MUCH better player so that says a lot about Lebron and him needing his teammates.

  1. by the length I would say Kareem. LeBron is only a 3-time all NBA player. Hey retard BC: would Shaq won a ring without Kobe?
  2. Kobe got the most rings handed to him by Shaq. I guess that makes him the winner.
  3. i would say lebron. i mean kareem played in the time of the unknown, and the league of the midgets and whites. kobe had a surrounding cast, along with russell. and lebron (i dont like him much) is a good player. and accomplished a lot so far. and is only heading up. and he plays with a down right shitty team. and made it to the finals. but everyone is good. i think lebron just has to try a lot harder then the rest.
  4. Obviously it's Kobe Bryant who has already 3 CHAMPIONSHIP RINGS, ALL-NBA FIRST TEAM, ALL-NBA DEFENSIVE FIRST TEAM AND ALL-STAR GAME MVP AT THE AGE OF 23! Followed by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Bill Russell!
  5. Kobe because of the rings. Then Kareem.
  6. Kareem when it comes to awards... Kobe when it comes to championships...
  7. How is Magic Johnson not on this list? First person to ever win a state high school title, an NCAA title and an NBA title and he did it all in a four year span. I'm too lazy to look up all the other stuff he did by the age.
  8. wow i cant believe theres a guy who goes by LeSTAT... you guys are really gettin desperate interesting that you've got the parentheses after the ROTY for LeBron, but u dont have anything about Kobe's team when he won those 3 championships conference championships without Shaq: Kobe: 0 LeBron: 1 Overall, Kareem accomplished the most i wonder how many thumbs down im gonna get?
  9. 1. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar 2. Kobe Bryant 3. Bill Russell
  10. As much as I would have liked to say Kobe, I'd have to give it to either Bill Russell or Kareem. Why? At age twenty-three (23) Kobe is a five to six year veteran. Had the NBA encouraged 18 year old players to join the league back then Kareem and Bill would have easily joined and won for themselves more accolades. By the time Kareem played his rookie year and turned the Milwaukee Bucks from a 22-55 win team to a 56-26 win team, he was an instant star, ranking second in the league in scoring (28.8 ppg) and third in rebounding (14.5 rpg), for which he was awarded the title of NBA Rookie of the Year. Not to mention being the most valuable part of the Milwaukee offense that got them their first and only championship so far. Bill Russell came to a great offensive team that lacked a great post threat not to mention a defensive dynamo that would propel them to the top. Even before coming to the league Bill is an established dominant force leading USF to NCAA championships in 1955 and 1956, including an impressive string of 55 consecutive victories. He became famous for his strong defense and his shot-blocking skills, once denying 13 shots in a single game. During his college career, Russell averaged 20.7 points per game and 20.3 rebounds per game. He was so dominant that he forced the NCAA to institute several rules changes in college basketball, which came to be known as "Russell's Rules". After the 1955 season, the lane was widened from six to twelve feet. This rule change forced centers to play further from the basket. So I have to say that it's a toss up between Russell and Kareem for most accomplished at age twenty three (23). Hope this helps.
  11. wats lebron doin there? u forgot magic johnson. he won a few rings by 23. i say kareem or kobe is the most impressive. kobe was also a slam dunk champ at 18yrs old
  12. I think Kareem was the athlete who had completed more by that point in his life. Your list speaks for itself. Kareem Was the most sought after High School athlete of his day, and most most heavily scouted college athlete in any sport in his time. During his college days every team was scouting him so heavily that he couldn't go to the bathroom without tripping over a scout. He won so many awards, and was such a dominate athlete in his day, that it was just unheard of. The last time Scouts had seen that type of physical prowess was with Wilt. Since Wilt caught many by surprise, they didn't want to be caught off guard again. At every level Kareem had overwhelming success. No other athlete at the levels below the pros were much of a physical match for him. He was a stunning combination of Height, Strength, Speed, and Athleticism, all in one package. If you put him on the court with todays athletes he would still be a FORCE to be reckoned with. Unlike some of the other OLD SCHOOL athletes who's game would have to evolve to match changes in the game today, Kareem, IS the model that the BIGs today pattern their game on. *For all of those who think Kareem should have had more championships by the time he turned 23; he was 22 when he entered the league. So he got his first title in a year after coming into the league. You can see some vintage Kareem (Lou Alcindor) on NBA TV today. Bucks vs Knicks
