Where can I find the scoring system for Head to Head on Yahoo Fantasy Basketball?
Where can I find the scoring system for Head to Head on Yahoo Fantasy Basketball? I have a good team, I think, but I have Brand & Arenas with 3 month injuries? I never played Head to Head, and I don't get the scoring / points system. I need to make changes, I 'm in last place. The SETTINGS tab doesn't "explain head-to-head"

- Go to the League tab and just underneath that toward the right of the screen should be the word Settings. Click on that and it will explain the scoring system.
- It's in settings, like the other guy said. H2H means every week you face another manager and the team with the most points in each category as described in settings wins. You have to win the categories, though. It's not set up that whoever has the most overall points wins. for example: your head to head is based on 5 categories. Let's just say goals, assists, 3 points, rebounds, blocked shots. You could kick butt in goals and 3 pointers, but if you lose by one in the other three categories, you still lose the matchup. Does this make sense to you now?
- Default Y! H2H scoring is 9 categories. Your league's categories will be, like the previous answerers said, on the League Page, under the Settings tab, listed under the phrase "Stat Categories" Usually, the 9 are FG%, FT%, 3's, Pts, Rebs, Assts, Stls, Blox, and TO's. I pasted a link below to the "help page" describing H2H scoring. Adjust your lineup daily to maximize the number of players who will play that night. The goal is to win as many of the categories each week as you can. So, if your team can put up more points, 3's, steals, assists and a better FT% by the end of the week, you've just won the matchup 5-4. There are a couple of different philosophies as to how to win. Which you choose will depend on how your team is made up and how active the other managers are in your league. My recommendation is to build strength on strength. Take a look at your two to three best players. Pick whatever their 5 or 6 best cats are. Then, make everybody else on your team just hammer those categories. Got Yao Ming? You want to go points, FG%, FT%, blox and boards. You want to compliment him with Pau, Brad Miller, Manu Ginobili, Mike Miller and the like. Just don't try to match Dwight Howard with Yao cuz their FT% cancel each other out. Some guys play small ball - leaning towards point-guardy types who get 3's, steals, assists, and FT% and go from there. Some play the bruisers, going for FG%, Reb, Blox and low TO's. Others try to stay flexible enough to beat their opponent in any category that shows weakness. The flexible approach also lets you trade more easily, and survive injury a little better. You can find other players that match your studs strengths at BasketBallMonster.com - link below. You can also find some basis scoring instructions on H2H strategies at the last two links. Hope that helps without being too basic. Finally, I've posted two links for some threads over at the Cafe. They may give lots of insight, but be too advanced. Couldn't find any good articles on H2H strategy, but I bet there are some over at ESPN or hoopsworld or nba.com or the like. Keep postin, and don't give up. It's a long season, is FBBall, and all you've got to do in H2H is make the playoffs. It's anybody's game from there. -Regards
