Should I pick up Elton Brand in my fantasy basketball league?
I know he'll be injured until January-Feburary. But I know that he'll eventually be a top contributor for a PF. So far I'm in first in my fantasy basketball league, so do you think I can afford picking up an injured player to reap the benefits of it in the future?

- If you have an IR section then go for it, but it seems like your team is doing pretty good without him.
- he's gonna play like 25-30 games this year it'll take him at least 10 games to get into game shape...trust me on this one, he won't be anywhere near 100% for the rest of the year...he's gonna be really rusty and slow when he comes back the type of injury he had...it takes a loooong time to recover from it Let him stay in the free agent list, where he belongs right now
- No way too early to do that.
- I say yea take because he is goin to be gone if u don't take him
- No. It was originally speculated that he would miss the entire season, but now they say he may be back after the all-star break. But with his type of injury, i think it would take at least a season to get back to his best form. Its definitely a risk to take him.
- If you have strong starters and an opening on your bench (if your worst player is worth dropping), than it might be worth it. The thing is, every year in NBA fantasy it seems like the dominant team gets beaten because someone gets injured (last year KG and Arenas both ended the regular fantasy season with injuries if I remember correctly) - so if you were at the top and had an awesome replacement that would be greeat. If your team is going to be struggling to make it though, I'd leave room for lots of movement (a spot to pick up hot players - not Brand)
