basketball?

i am looking for a pair of basketball shoes. i know, it sound sorta silly that I'm asking this, but I'm girly. So I am looking for a pair of pink basketball shoes. Hopefull, with some pink on it. And do all bball shoes go up to your ankles?? I sorta don't like that. Please help me find a pair of bball shoes that dont go up to my ankles, are pink, or really cute, but doesn't have to be pink. but i really prefer pink =] thanks a lot! by the way, please give me the site too. and probably where i can get them if i dont want to buy it online. okay, since everybody is saying that bball shoes should go up to ankles, can anybody help me find a pair??

1. i dont know much about girls basketball shoes just guys but the reason the shoes goes to your ankles is to protect it almost all players where it cuz if u wear low top shoes and land on ur ankle wrong u are messed up where as midtops or hightops will giv u more support

3. i play b-ball and im girly too. i have these black and pink shoes with spinners in the heels, but unfortunatly they are discontinued. when i was younger i played in skate shoes. witch don't come up high. that was the worst desision i have ever made. i took a hard hit and my ankle was completely ruined for the season. trust me and go with high tops. i think they have shoes with pink in them at target. but they won't be a good brand. i also have jordans that are awesome!! i don't know any sites but you could call up a foot locker or champs sports and ask them if they have any pink shoes. good luck!!

5. Well although ankle length shoes are better (so you don't get the odd twist or sprain), since you dont want them, many adidas and converse bball shoes don't go above the ankles. If you don't mind the ankle bit and you want the shoes to look good, go for AND1's although I'm not sure they have pink.
