ok so im about to go to m first basketball game we had 2 parctices and we have a game now ive never played before so just can you give me hint and rules thanks =] this is at a 6th grade level though so words that i can understand please. hhaa They never told us any rules so any rules even simple ones

- okay...well you want to shoot at the other teams basket so when you first start, which ever side you start on thats your side (so obviously, the other basket is the one you're aiming for) if someone is getting ready to pass and they're just holding it, you can tip it out of their hands but you cannot grab it otherwise you will get a foul and the other team will get a free shot at your basket dont get all over people and dont step out of bounds if you have the ball (however, if the ball is going out of bounds and you push it back in before it falls over the out of bounds line, then you cross that line, you'll be OK!) that's as basic as it gets
- shoot at your own basket, you have to dribble to advance the ball, once you pick it up you cant dribble again, you cant hit somoene going towards the basket. stuff like that
