NCAA Basketball?

Why is it that sometimes in an NCAA Basketball game when shooting free throws they shoot a "one and one" and sometimes they shoot two shots?

Public Comments

1. when a team has committed 7 fouls in a half, the other team gets to shoot "1 and 1" when they have committed 10 fouls, the other team gets to shoot 2.
2. If a player is in the act of shooting they automatically shoot 2 free throws. Now in the college game at the 7th team foul of a half the team that is fouled shoots a one and one. If they make the first they get a second shot. If they miss the first then play continues on. At the 10th team foul for the half they get whats called the double bonus and shoot two free throws even if they miss the first.
3. If you get fouled while attempting a shot and miss the shot, you will get two free throws, if you make it and get fouled you get one.....now If you ghet fouled while shooting a three pointer and miss, you get three free throws, and one if you make it. Furthermore if the opposing team has more than 7 fouls in the half you will automatically get a one and one, 10 or more fouls in a half you get 2.
