Do you agree with PBA's selection for their All-Defensive Team?

Three (3) Air 21 players are included in the 5-man defensive team. It's very unusual putting 3 players from the same team (10 teams league) and besides Air 21 is not known as a defensive team. They are the worst defensive team (points scored by opponents) although they are the best offensive team. They are PBA's version of Phoenix Suns, an offensive minded team. Imagine Gary David (???), Arwin Santos & Winnie Arboleda in the defensive team? Maybe either of the last 2 players mentioned shall be in that team but Gary David?? Wow, that's a daylight robbery, it robbed from more deserving defensive players like Dorian Peña, Junthy Valenzuela, Nick Velasco, Ronald Tubid, Marc Pingris, Roger Yap, Topex Robinson, etc. PBA is worst when it comes to giving individual awards. Even the so-called Filipino basketball experts will agree with me that 3-players of AIR 21 in a 5-men defensive team is too much. It's absolutely uncalled for.

1. i am no expert when it comes to basketball. what can i say, we are in the philippines, things always come the other way around. (sadly). if there are reasons for that (un)called decision, it is PBA's discretion. Awards come in two parts: one is the trophy and the other is: recognition.

NO. i think they select the players about their performance on the last conference not the first 2. almost all categories winners sucks. i don't like the mvp winner. he's only good when the strong players are not around. this year's pba awards sucks! let the people decide who deserves the winner right? not those pannels who are blind.
3. they are lesser known pba players. why not include taulava, hontiveros, and caguioa.
4. This celestine doen't know his basketball. He's so pathetic. What the hell he's mentioning Caguioa (doesn't play defense), Hontiveros & Taulava? where the asker is just expressing his thoughts on the poor selection of PBA in the defensive players category. Well for my answer, I agree too that PBA's selection of their all-defensive team is not very popular. Yeman observation holds true. How 3 players of 1 team which is not known for their defense were chosen. It's a TOTAL CRAP. It SUCKS!
