Can anyone give me a legitimate reason why the Duke basketball team is so universally hated?

I have wondered this for years. And I freely admit up front that I am a fan of the Blue Devils... My mom went there and never missed a game.

1. Because they are always good! If my team isnt doing good I blame Duke! GO BUCKEYES!
2. they win all the time and beat the crap outta whoever they play. i hate duke because they killed my team texas.
3. It was put best on PTI this afternoon, they're like the Yankees, always at or near the top. You either love them or hate them.
4. Because success breeds jealousy, and Duke is the most successful men's college basketball program of the past 20 years.
