wow good question.. i would say in the long haul UNC is traditionally better but in the last 20 years duke has a better record. Coaching for both schools is tremendous and will be for years to come. So overall my answer would be the tar heels. Sad to see how bad duke did in this years tourney but we all know coach k will get them back to where they belong
UNC was better this year, duke is a better overall program
On March the 4th of this year they played and UNC won 86 to 72. There is a history of rivalry between the two.
Unc overall is better at winning ncaa championships then duke. even thought coach K is the best coach to date bar none.

Even though I'm a huge Jordan fan, i would have to say Duke has a better program.

wow you guys are joking right...duke better than UNC...if thats the case why is it UNC has beat duke in the last three match-ups?...tell me how many people from duke has gone on to the NBA and won championship titles....UNC produces high quality basketball players year after year...they don't just shine in college the way the dukies do...(insert g. hill, b. hurley, c. parks, e. brand, c. duhon, or any other player from their program name right here)...you can take one player from Carolina and he would have more NBA rings and it doesn't have to be MJ...(Worthy has FIVE)...the all time record is UNC 126, duke 96 thats a thirty game difference...someone wake me when they catch up!!!
