College basketball?

I really want to play college basketball someday, but I need to know ways to get the attention of colleges because I go to a small school that nobody really knows about. I have never heard of any college players coming from a school that ends in COUNTY. Does it help at all that our soccer team is one of the best in the state? And if our basketball team makes it to the playoffs and does good in them will that get some attention?
