Practicing with Mens Basketball vs. Womens Basketball?

My daughter is in the 8th grade and plays on the girls basketball team. I went to go buy her a ball to practice at home but it was hard to find a womens basketball. I bought her a mens NCAA basketball to practice. Will this make a difference when she goes to school and play with the smaller ladies basketball at school? Will her shots be effected much?

  1. If your daughter takes enough shots with a men's basketball is will be easier for her to shoot a with women's. When I was in high school my coach use to make us practice with a ball that was half a size bigger that a real basketball. It make shooting a regular ball a lot easier.
  2. yes because guys play better than women at basketball and because you got your daughter a bigger ball it means she's going to be a good and better player than her teammates and her shots will be improving you'll see
  3. her shot will probably be different because she is playing with a different size ball and she will be used to the bigger ball...
  4. a lot of girls in high school practice with the guys ball and the say it helps them when it comes to girls ball because its lighter and smaller so they have more control over it
