- 1 UNC (ty lawson, hansborough, wayne ellington returning.) 2 Kansas (assuming Brandon Rush comes back from his injury ok) 3 Memphis (chris douglas-roberts and derrick rose) 4 UCLA (kevin love to go with darren collison) 5 a tie between michigan state (drew neitzel's final year) and indiana (DJ white plus eric gordon)
- 1. Florida Gators - Let's trust Billy Donovan again. Losing all 5 starters is tough, but he also got strong recruits, include Jai Lucas, son of former NBA player John Lucas. As long as he stays away from the crack, Jai will play like Penny Hardaway, whom he practically lives with... (NOTE: John Lucas was suspended by the NBA for crack... that's where the joke comes from) 2. Syracuse Orange - Nearly the same team as last years. They also got new recruits. They're calling Dante Green the next Carmelo Anthony. If that's true, expect them in the championship game. 3. Kansas Jayhawks - Sorry, I don't really follow Kansas, so I know nothing about the details, but all I can tell you is they have one heck of a coach. And when good players click with a great coach, the team wins. 4. USC Trojans - OJ Mayo shouldn't be just hype, would he? The reason I have USC at 4 is because USC is the number 1 favorites right now, but looking at college basketball history, the number 1 seed usually looses early. USC will be the team to beat. And USC will get tired sooner or later. 5. Memphis Tigers - They have everyone from last year back, including Dorsey who's a second year senior now! Being the most dominate team in Conference USA will take them at least the Sweet 16 because of number 1 seeding, but will this be the year they go to the Final 4? Heck, Coach Cal just made a deal with the Chinese Basketball League... dunno how that's going to help, but Memphis landed a deal with China?!? Wow! P.S. UCLA is definitely number 6.
