When do the credible pre-season NCAA basketball polls come out?
I think the preseason rankings on Yahoo sports provided by "Rivals" are ridiculous and want to know when I can expect to see the sports Illustrated preseason poll, which I find the most reliable, and the AP pre-season poll. I just never can remember when these things come out ... help!

- I wanna say the last Monday in October or the first Monday in November. Most teams get their regular seasons underway around the 9th or 10th of November so the polls will be out a week beforehand at the least. I'm thinking Memphis will open the season as the #1 team but I'm hoping Kansas will be in the top 5, even with Brandon Rush out until December.
- There is no such thing as a "credible" preseason poll. No one can tell how well a team is going to play until they actually get on the court. It used to be possible to make reasonable guesses based on the previous years play, but players enter the NBA draft early so often these days that past performance is no longer a reliable indicator.
