why do college basketball players wear t-shirts under their jerseys?

I see a lot of ncaa mens basketball players who wear tall tees that are really baggy under their jerseys. Why is this?

1. there to imbarrases to show off there arms.

3. i wondered this myself and i have to the simple conclusion that they simply liek it. maybe it absorbs alot of their sweat or something so their hands dotn get too sweaty or something.

5. It's because they are conscious of their physique. Even though to other people they seem to be well built, in their own minds they feel as though they still look inadequate. I know this because i used to wear shirts under my jersey too.
